2 students drowned during Ganesh idols immersion

Rajkot, Gujarat, Sep 26: Two students drowned during immersion of Ganesh idol in Beti River on Kuvadva Road on the outskirts of the city last night.

The victims had joined other devotees in the immersion procession when the mishap took place.

Fire brigade personnel retrieved the bodies from the river late last night. The deceased have been identified as Atith Parmar (20) and Mital Shah (20), students of Vivekanand Institure, police said.
