2 fishermen feared drowned in Karnataka

Mangalore, Sep 26: Two fishermen were feared drowned, while seven others were rescued when the boat in which they were sailing capsized in sea off Old Fisheries Port near here last evening.

Police today said the two missing fishermen were identified as Krishnamurthy (42) from Tamil Nadu and Sajaiah (35) from Andhra Pradesh.

The mishap occurred when the boat was caught in a high tide, following inclement weather.

Efforts were still on to trace the missing fishermen, the police added.
