Woman killed for allegedly practising witchcraft

Bhabhua, Sep 25 (UNI) A woman was killed for allegedly practising witchcraft at Koluha village under Adhaura police station of Kaimur district today.

Deputy Superintendent of Police S M A Fatmi said here that the angry villagers attacked the house of one Ramdas Uraon and poured hot water on his wife.

The victim sustained severe burn injuries and was rushed to Bhabhua hospital by her relatives.

He said the woman succumbed to her injuries in the hospital later.

A named FIR against six people had been lodged at the police station in this connection.

All the named accused were absconding.
