Indian biotech industry booming

New Delhi, Sep 25, 2007: Reinstating the popularity of the Biotech sector in India, world's biggest biotech and life sciences companies are heading towards India looking at a range of activities, from clinical research to drug discovery.

These companies are said to be attracted to India's talent, low costs and capabilities demonstrated by a host of small Indian biotech companies. The Indian biotech sector today comprises of over 280 companies, and the growth rate of this sector is among the fastest in the world.
