Vajpayee condoles Jana Krishnamurthy's death

New Delhi, Sep 25 (UNI) Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today expressed his shock and sorrow over the death of former BJP President K Jana Krishnamurthy in Chennai this morning.

In a statement, Mr Vajpayee said his death had taken away a committed and cultured administrator from the midst of BJP.

The leader had played an important role in strengthenig roots of the party in southern parts of the country. His death has caused deep sense of sorrow not just in the BJP but also the public.

Meanwhile, party President Rajnath Singh and former party president M Venkaiah Naidu proceeded to Chennai to take part in the last rites of the senior BJP leader who also had a stint as Law Minister in the Union Government.
