Twenty20 win leads to tension in MP town

Ujjain, MP, Sep 25 (UNI) Tension prevailed at the local Topkhana area after godman Asaram Bapu's publicity van was pelted with stones in the wake of Team India's spectacular victory against traditional rivals Pakistan in the Twenty20 World Cup cricket final at Johannesburg.

''Six youths were arrested today in connection with last night's violence and two are absconding,'' said Superintendent of Police Jaideep Prasad.

While a victory procession was passing a place of worship, stones were pelted from within. The attackers smashed the windows of the van that was passing the area and a youth identified as Prakash was targeted with a sword. The godman's discourses are scheduled to begin here tomorrow.
