Traders protest opening of Reliance Fresh stores

Bhubaneswar, Sep 25 (UNI) Reliance Retail Limited today deferred its inauguration of a Reliance Fresh Store near Gopabandhu square here following strong protest from the local traders.

Police said hundreds of local traders staged a demonstration at the Gopabandhu square opposing the opening of a Reliance Fresh store.

Sensing trouble, the company deferred the inauguration of the store for an indefinite period.

In another incident, angry traders also damaged the sign board of another Reliance Fresh Stores near Rabi Talkies Road yesterday.

However, police said no complaint had been lodged by the company in connection with the two incidents.
