Six dead in road accident

Sambalpur, Sep 25 (UNI) In a tragic incident six people were killed and five others injured, some of them critically, when their vehicle hit a road side tree near Jujumara, about 45 kms from here late last night.

Police said while five of them died on the spot one succumbed to his injuries at the Sambalpur Sadar Hospital here. The victims were yet to be identified.

All the injured persons were admitted to the Hospital in an unconscious state. The vehicle, sources said, was coming from Puri when the mishap took place.

Police suspected that the victims belonged to outside the state.

Investigations are on to identify the deceased and the injured.
