SDM's Reader convicted for bribery

Bhopal, Sep 25: A special court of Indore has handed down one year rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1,000 to Saver Sub-Divisional Magistrate's Reader Datatreya Dongre for bribery.

Official sources today said Dongre was caught red-handed by Lokayukta police while accepting a bribe of Rs 250 on February 21, 2003. He had demanded the bribe for not issuing an arrest warrant and closure of a case registered at Kshipra police station in Indore.
