Police take steps to trace missing woman

Puducherry, Sept 25(UNI) Police were on the look out for a woman hailing from Thiruvannamalai, who deserted her two-day-old child at the Government Maternity hospital here today.

Police said Chenthamarai(28) who was admitted to the hospital here on September 20 had delivered a boy two days ago. The woman was, however, found missing from this morning.

The hospital authorities, realising the gravity of the situation lodged a complaint with the police. A case had been registered and investigtion was underway, police added.
