Hindu outfits burn Karunanidhi's effigy

Coimbatore, Sep 25 (UNI) Hundreds of workers of Hindu outfits today burnt four effigies of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi protesting against the DMK workers' attack on BJP office and Hindu Munnani Office at Chennai on Sunday last.

The protesters burnt the effigies near Red Cross building in the city. Six persons were arrested in the incident.

Police had made elaborate security arrangements in view of the recent incidents of burning effigies by various political parties for the last two days protesting the 'fatwa' issued by a former BJP MP against the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.
