'Govt's decision to hand BMIC proj to GIC a fraud'

Mysore, Sep 25: Managing Director of the Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise (NICE) Ashok Kheney today alleged that the state government's decision to handover express highway project between Bangalore-Mysore to Global Infrastructure Consortium was a 'fraud'. Talking to newsmen here he alleged that the company's address mentioned in the application was false. Even the Bangalore address was said to be fake one, he said.

NICE is the original promoter of the Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project. The state government, moving a step closer towards terminating its agreement of the project, had revoked clauses pertaining to transfer of lands to the project promoter. Later it floated global tenders to take over the controversial project under the 'Swiss challenge'.

Mr Kheney said his company would file a case against the fake company soon in the Supreme Court. All cases related to the project are slated on October five where all necessary documents would be provided.

He said that NICE would at any cost the entire BMIC project.
