Five held for human trafficking

Shahdol, MP, Sep 25 (UNI) Five people, including two couples, have been arrested for indulging in human trafficking and selling two minor girls at Bhalumada village in this district, police said today.

Shamim, Farzana, Vishnu Soni and Narbadaria lured the two sisters by cheating them with the promise of providing them employment.

The elder sister (16) was sold to Panna-resident Chhotelal Ahirwar, who allegedly married her and took her to New Delhi.

Later, the younger sister (14) was sold to Dayaram Ahirwar for Rs 20,000.

The matter came to light when the elder sister escaped from the clutches of Chhotelal and reached her village four days back.

Shamim, Farzana, Vishnu Soni, Narbadaria and Chhotelal were arrested.

Police were searching for the younger sister and Dayaram. Main accused Nankibai was absconding.
