Digvijay Singh hails Rahul's elevation in Congress

Bhopal, Sep 25 (UNI) Welcoming Amethi MP Rahul Gandhi's elevation to the post of party general secretary, Congress General Secretary and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijay Singh said it would inject fresh enthusiasm in the country's youth.

''The step has respected the sentiments of party workers,'' he said in a statement.

Mr Singh's words were echoed by Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly Jamuna Devi and Congress state President Subhash Yadav.
