New Delhi, Sep 25 (UNI) Though sports has nothing to do with politics, Team India's T-20 World Cup victory yesterday seems to have a special significance to the Congress or is the congress trying to project so?.

A day after it named Rahul Gandhi as the AICC General Secretary, the Congress Party today sought to utilise India's 5-run victory against Pakistan in Johannesburg to project the scion of the Nehru-Gandhi family as a captain who would "win the next big match.'' ''The spirit of youth got reflected yesterday when Rahul Gandhi was assigned important responsibilities in the party and Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his youth team garnered a magnificent victory to India a few hours later," AICC spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi told mediapersons.

''I have no doubt that Rahul Gandhi will return the compliment by decisively winning the next big match,'' he said, amid speculation that Rahul's induction into the AICC as its General Secretary and into the CWC as its member is a sign there could be readying for snap polls if the stand off between the UPA government and the Left parties over the Indo-US Nuke deal is not resolved.

Though it was a coincidence, the recast of the AICC Secretariat with many young leaders came on a day when the young players of the Team India led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni lifted the maiden T-20 World Cup.

In the reshuffle, effected by Ms Gandhi after a gap of nearly three years, Rahul was also made a member of a new think-tank group constituted to look into future challenges of the party. He was also included into the Publicty and Publication Committee.

Besides Rahul, the other young leaders who have found places in the AICC secretariat include Ajay Maken, Sandeep Dikshit, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Priya Dutt, Milind Deora, Sachin Pilot and Jitin Prasad.
