CM welcomes Rahul"s appointment as G S

Shimla, Sep 25 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today welcomed Rahul Gandhi, (Lok Sabha)MP, on being appointed General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC)and member of the Congress Working Committee (CWC).

In his congratulatory message he said Mr Gandhi is a young and dynamic leader capable to lead the youth who had been demanding that he be assigned important position in the party.

Supported by a young team of Members of Parliament, he would be able to contribute significantly in shaping the future of the country and uphold the rich traditions followed the Nehru Gandhi family, he said.

He said Himachal''s youth was also enthused with his alleviation to the post of General Secretary and Incharge of Youth Congress and national Students Union of India (NSUI).

State Irrigation and Public Health Minister Kaul Singh Thakur also welcomes Mr Gandhis appointments as General Secretary of AICC.
