BRIC Foreign Ministers to meet in Moscow

Moscow, Sep 25 (UNI) The Foreign Ministers of Brazil, Russia, India and China (BRIC) will meet in Moscow early next year, Russian Foreign Ministry said today.

"The next BRIC Foreign Ministers meeting will be held in Moscow in spring of 2008 at the invitation of the Russian side," a statement of the Ministry said.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov attended a ministerial meeting of the BRIC group on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session, which started in New York yesterday.

"It was agreed to continue four-way contacts at various levels, including contacts between the representatives of the four countries at international organisations, expanding the agenda of the debates and seeking ways to coordinate and interact on specific issues," the statement noted.
