Babri Masjid demolition: Ram Vilas Vedanti's petition rejected

Rae Bareli, Sep 25 (UNI) The Special CBI court hearing the Babri Masjid demolition case today rejected the petitions of former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Ram Vilas Vedanti and five others.

The order was passed by the Special Judge Vanshraj on the petitions filed by Mr Vedanti, Mahant Dharmadas, Dr Satish Nagar, Baikunth Lal Sharma, Jagdish Muni and Champat Rai on August eight and 18 for impleadment in the case.

The court further directed the CBI to produce all evidences before it on October 16, the next hearing of the case.

Earlier, defence counsel Mahipal Singh and Vimal Srivastava and CBI counsel K P Singh filed applications seeking exemption from personal appearance of parties.

In the previous hearings, the CBI had contended that since the six applicants were not named in the case either by the CBI or CB-CID, they could not be impleaded in the case.

Former deputy Prime Minister Lal krishna Advani, senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi, Ashok Singhal, Giriraj Kishore, Vinay Katiyar, Vishnu Hari Dalmia, firebrand leader Uma Bharti and Sadhvi Ritambhara are accused in the case, pending before the special court.
