Army jawan robbed by 2 unidentified persons in train
Surat, Sep 25 (UNI) A 26-year-old army jawan was allegedly looted by two unidentified persons on board the Lokmanya Tilak express last evening here.
According to police, Ajaysingh Rajput, attached to the Pune Cantonment, was returning to Mumbai from Bihar as he was on leave by the train when two unknown persons sitting next to him gave some snacks to eat, as a result of which he fainted. The duo stole his cash, gold ring and other belongings aggregating Rs 16,950.
The Surat railway police admitted Rajput to Surat Medical College as he was found in an unconscious state on the platforms.
