Tricom buys Apex Document Solutions for $ 2 mln

New Delhi, Sept 24: Non-voice business process outsourcing company Tricom India Ltd today said it acquired US-based Apex Document Solutions for two million dollars, helping the company to enhance its value chain in the litigation support vertical and widen its market presence.

''The acquisition will augment the company's current sales set-up in the US with the newly acquired on-site processing and support facility, eliminating the distance and data confidentiality barriers,'' company's Managing Director Chetan Kothari said and added that, ''this would provide a perfect platform to expand our service portfolio in other business domains paving way for earning higher revenues.''

The acquisition has been funded through internal accruals and finance from the banks/institutions, a company statement said, adding that the company expects to enter into a definitive agreement in a fortnight.
