Silver closes at two month's high

Mumbai, Sep 24: Spot silver today closed at a two month's high at Rs 18.215 even as Gold ended firm at Rs 9500 per ten gm on lack of offers by stockists in view of bullish advice from global markets, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Trading in bullion market will be officially closed tomorrow for 'Ganpati Immersion', traders added.

Following are the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 18,215 (18,090) Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 9,500 (9,470) Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 9,540 (9,520).
