Polytech students to get copies of answer sheets

Chandigarh, Sep 24 (UNI) The Haryana Technical Education Department has decided to supply the photo copies of marked answer sheets to the polytechnic students on payment of Rs 1000 to bring absolute transparency in the evaluation of their performance in their semesterexamination.

Stating this here today, Technical Education Minister A C Chaudhry said that instead of the provision of only re-totalling of the marks now, re-evaluation of the answer-sheets by different examiner on the request of the candidate by paying the scheduled re-checking fees would be the other change which would be implemented to bring reform in the system.

Mr Chaudhry said that all the information related to sessional examination of the student and their internal marks would be displayed on notice board of the Polytechnic and also on web-site of the Polytechnic.Computerization of examination system was also undertaken for the convenience of the students.

The Minister said the decision was taken in view of the growing number of aspirants in the state opting to pursue technical education.
