Pilot project in K'taka for paperless office

Bangalore, Sep 24 (UNI) A pilot project for introducing paperless transactions in offices will be launched in a week in Information Technology and Biotechnology Department, Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy announced today.

Addressing the media here after meeting Microsoft International President Jean Philippe Courtois, he said the project was aimed at ensuring the people were not put to any inconvenience whenever they visited government offices on some work.

The project, which would be extended to all departments gradually, would be jointly implemented by Microsoft and the IT Department of the state, Mr Kumaraswamy added work in this regard had already commenced.
