MRPL pays Rs 23.78 crore dividend to HPCL

Mumbai, Sep 24: Mangalore Refinery&Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL), an ONGC Group Company and a Mini Ratna category I, today paid a dividend of Rs 23,77,22,814 for FY 2007, to Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL), who holds 16.95 pc stake in the company.

The dividend cheque was handed over by Shri L. K Gupta, Director (Finance) of MRPL to Shri Arun Balakrishnan, Chairman&MD, HPCL, at the HPCL HO, Mumbai, in a simple function attended by Shri C. Ramulu, Director (Finance), Shri M A Tankiwala, Director (Refineries), other senior officials of HPCL and Shri B Sukumar, Company Secretary, MRPL.

It maybe recalled that the shareholders of MRPL had cleared a dividend of 8 pc at the 14th Annual General Meeting for FY 2007 held at Mangalore. In the last three years alone, HPCL has earned a total of Rs 74.29 crores as dividend from MRPL against their equity holding of 297,153, 518 shares.
