Two Italians missing in Afghanistan-foreign min

ROME, Sep 23 (Reuters) Two Italians have gone missing in Afghanistan, the Italian foreign ministry said today.

Earlier agency reports said two Italians, possibly journalists, had been kidnapped in the west of Afghanistan.

The foreign ministry told Reuters it was unable to immediately confirm whether those missing were journalists or whether they were kidnapped.

The ministry said it would release a statement shortly.
