Two Italians kidnapped in Afghanistan-ministry

ROME, Sep 23 (Reuters) Italy's defence ministry said today it believed two Italian soldiers missing in Afghanistan had been kidnapped.

''We believe they have been kidnapped together with two Afghans,'' the ministry said in a statement, adding that the situation was ''still not clear''.

The soldiers went missing while on patrol in western Afghanistan, Italian authorities said earlier today.
