Two farmers shot dead

Lucknow, Sep 23 (UNI) Two farmers were shot dead today and four others wounded in a firing between the two rival under Taalgaon area of Sitapur district in Uttar Pradesh.

Police said the deceased were identified as Matru and Mallu Kurmi.

Besides, four shepherds also sustained pellet wounds in the cross firing between the rival groups, that clashed over a minor dispute related to a farm land.

The injured had been admitted to hospital and police was deployed in the area.
