Three criminals arrested, firearms recovered

Sheikhpura, Sep 23: Police arrested three criminals and recovered firearms from them at various places under different police station areas in the district.

Police said here yesterday that acting on a tip-off, a sleuth of local police raided a hideout near Vrindavan peak under Kasar police station and arrested a criminal. A country-made rifle and several rounds of live cartridges were seized from him.

In another incident, two motorcycle-borne criminals were arrested and two country-made pistols were recovered from them during the routine checking of vehicles on Sheikhpura-Lakhisarai main road under Sigri outpost in the district, police said. The arrested were being interrogated, police added.
