SP demonstration on Sep 25

Allahabad, Sep 23 (UNI) The Samajwadi Party has called, a peaceful demonstration at the collectorate here on September 25.

Talking to newspersons here today, SP district president Kamal Singh Yadav alleged that the state government had killed the main spirit of the democracy by imposing ban on the students union election.

He said his party was of the view that the students union election must be held on the guidelines prescribed by Supreme Court and report of Lyngdoh Committee.

''The government has completely failed in maintaining peace and harmony among the people and innocent SP workers are being implicated in false criminal offences.'' Mr Yadav said Allahabad district was affected by drought, but the government recovery from poor farmers were being made.

''There is no water in canals and no electricty to run tubewells,'' he added.
