Jaya denies any remarks on Vajpayee, Advani

Chennai, Sep 23: AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa today denied reports in a section of media quoting her as having said that former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and senior BJP leader L K Advani ''were just too old for politics''.

In a statement here, she expressed shock over the remarks attributed to her in an article in an English daily.

Categorically denying the remarks, she said, ''I have never made such a statement at any time. I have the highest personal regard for both Mr Vajpayee and Mr Advani.'' ''It is sad to see the newspaper indulging in such immature, irresponsible and mischievous writing,'' she added.
