Mathura, Sep 23 (UNI) Atmosphere in 'Krishna ki Nagri' here seemed to have taken the hue of festivity with obeisance being offered at 'Shri Giriraj Ji ki Talhati' here.
Lakhs of devouts thronged the place to congregate for the 'parikrama' of Govardhan.
The whole atmosphere turned devotional with the chanting of songs and bhajans like 'Hathi Ghore Palki Jai Kanhaiya Lalki'.
On the other hand, girls pretending 'Gopis' sung 'Mere To Girdhar Gopal Doosra Naa Koi' at 'Chappan Bhog' programme, which was organised on the occasion of 'Anant Chaturdarshi' here.
The 'bhakts' offered 'Chappan Bhog,' comprising a string of delectable dairy cuisines prepared by expert cooks to Giriraj through this much reverred 'parikrama.' Shri Giriraj Seva Samiti member Murarilal Agarwal told UNI that the 'Amrit Abhishek' of 'Thakurji' will take place tomorrow with water from prominent rivers mixed with select herbs.
Dairy products viz milk, ghee, curd, grounded sugar and honey would also be used in the 'grand abhishek'.
