Clash between two communities, 28 arrested

Lucknow, Sep 23 (UNI) Violence erupted in Khair town of Aligarh district, following stone-pelting and open-firing between people of two communities late last night, police today said.

The incident occurred at Gautam crossing, where a minor dispute snowballed and the two groups indulged in stone-pelting and firing.

Two people were injured in the clash and admitted to hospital, police said.

Twenty eight people have been arrested in this regard and police in strength deployed to maintain peace in the area.
