Alamatti, Narayanpur gates downed with reduced inflow

Gulbarga, Sep 23 (UNI) All the crest gates of the Alamatti and Narayanpur projects across River Krishna were downed, following minimum inflow into the reservoirs today.

Only 35,000 cusecs of water was being discharged for power generation from the Alamatti project. The water level touched its full level of 519 metre.

At Narayanpur project, all crest gates were closed to enable the reservoir to reach its brim at 492.71 metre as against the present 490.90 metre.

In River Bhima, the flood water receded substantially as the inflow came down to less than 45,000 cusecs.
