Screening camp for children with cardiac problem

Vijayawada, Sep 22 (UNI) Camps for screening children below 12 years with cardiac problems will be conducted at the Government General Hospital here tomorrow.

Informing this to newspersons here today, Krishna District Collector Naveen Mittal said the camps would be conducted in collaboration with noted cardiac hospitals in the city as per the instructions of Andhra Pradesh Medical Education Director.

After the screening, the children, who need surgeries would be sent to the private hospitals concerned. Similar camps would be organised in Gudiwada and Machilipatanam towns on October 12 and November 17 respectively.

He said the previous camp, held last year had recommended 265 children for surgeries.
