New ISI chief to hold talks with PPP in London

Islamabad, Sep 22 (UNI) President Parvez Musharraf has asked newly-appointed ISI chief Lt Gen Nadeem Taj to resume talks with former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto's Pakistan's Peoples Party.

The new ISI Director General will travel to London next week to hold talks with the PPP's top brass, Geo TV said, quoting sources.

Lt Gen Taj had assisted former ISI DG Ashfaq Kayani earlier several times in talks with Ms Bhutto. He is also likely to visit Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates on his return from London.

Gen Hamid Javed and Tariq Aziz will assist Lt Gen Taj in the dialogue in Saudi Arabia and Dubai.

The PPP has already named Rahman Malik and Amin Fahim for the talks with the government.
