Lt Gen Thamburaj inaugurates married accomodation project

Jalandhar, Sep 22 (UNI) Vajra Corps General Officer Commanding Lt Gen Noble Thamburaj today inaugurated the 72 Junior Commissioned Officers' Married Accommodation Project (MAP) here.

While addressing the gathering on the occasion, Lt Gen Thamburaj said the project would improve the quality of life of service persons. ''The MAP is taken up with the aim of providing more opportunities for soldiers to stay with their families in peace stations after a difficult tenure,'' he added.

He informed that the construction of married accomodation was being taken up at a number of other stations all over the country.
