Cable TV operators on warpath on SUN TV's DTH

Puducherry, Sep 22 (UNI) Members of the Puducherry Cable TV Owners Association and Operators Association today observed a fast near the Venkatasubbareddiyar Statue here to condemn the SUN Network's launch of direct-to-home (DTH) services.

They said SUN Network's introductory offer of 75 channels for Rs 75 would crush the cable TV operations and sought the intervention of the Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Governments to protect their business.

Over 300 cable TV operators from Karaikal, Villuppuram and Cuddalore also joined the agitation.
