Army expedition team scales Shri Khand Mahadev

Chandigarh, Sept 22 (UNI) A Himalayan Animal Transport expedition team of the Indian Army under the aegis of Western Command has successfully scaled the arduous Shri Khand Mahadev at a height of 5227 meter.

The 18-member expedition team of Army Supply Corps led by Lt Col Karamjit Singh trekked the 120 km terrain to scale the snow-capped peak, a release today said.

The team, which was flagged off by Commander 36 Sector on September 10, on their way back also provided veterinary and medical cover to the villages of Fancha and Ganvi.
