Puducherry, Sep 21 (UNI) The JIPMER Anti-Conversion People's Action Committee will organise a three-phased agitation in New Delhi in support of their four-point charter of demands, Committee President T Murugan said today.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Murugan said a decision to this effect was adopted at an all-party meeting attended by the CPI (M), BJP, RSP, RPI, Dalit Panthers Party and Confederation of Puducherry State Government Employees Association.

The committee was keen on four points -- providing free medical treatment, retaining the current status of the employees, giving priority to Puducherry while filling up group 'C' and 'D' posts and earmarking of 20 seats for Puducherry for admissions in MBBS course here, he said.

Though two of the four points were referred to in the report of the Parliamentary Standing Committee submitted before the Rajya Sabha on September 7, they were not categorically ensured, prompting the committee to continue their stir, he said.

The committee would organise a dharna in front of the Parliament and lay siege to it in the third phase of agitation, the date of which was yet to be decided.

The Samajwadi Party and Telegu Desam Party had offered their support to the campaign, he added.
