Teacher suspended for beating girl student

Yamunanagar, Sep 21 (UNI) A teacher of a government primary school in Peeruwala village of the district was suspended today for beating a fourth-class girl student with a stick.

Head Teacher Shiv Charan had beaten Kajal with a stick on Wednesday when she came to school after remaining absent for a couple of days, according to a complaint by her father Kiran Pal.

Deputy Commissioner Nitin Yadav had ordered an inquiry into the incident. The enquiry conducted by Block Education Officer Kuldeep Mehta found the teacher guilty of beating the student following which he was suspended.
