Rupee opened at 39.9250/39.9350 per USD

Mumbai, Sep 21: Rupee today opened slightly weak by three paise at 39.9250/9350 per U S Dollar as compared to the previous close of 39.89/90 per US dollar in a less active trade at the Interbank Foreign Exchange (Forex) market.

"As the local stock markets' movement were slow and Sensex was down by 27 point during the early trade , the local unit also reflected a sign of reverse movement by opening weak, however, later on it moved up at the high of 39.84/85 and currently at 1045 hrs it is trading at 39.87/88 per dollar, dealers said.
