Rama is 'Divine personality' says Deve Gowda
Bangalore, Sep 21 (UNI) Former Prime Minister and Janata Dal(S) National President H D Deve Gowda today said he strongly believed that the Adams Bridge or Ram Sethu was not a natural formation but 'Divine made.' Talking to media persons after releasing the manifesto of the party for the coming urban local bodies polls here, Mr Gowda said he considers Lord Rama as an 'Avathara Purusha.' Dismissing the notion that Ram Sethu was a natural formation, he said according to him Lord Rama was an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who fought against evil forces and protected innocent and peace loving people.
''I will not resort to speak lightly on Lord Rama,'' Mr Gowda quipped.
Referring to the burning of a Tamil Nadu bus in which two people were charred to death and the attack on the house of Selvi, daughter of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, in the city following his remarks on Lord Rama, Mr Gowda demanded that stern action be taken against the miscreants.
