Markam expelled, Uike suspended from GGP

Bhopal, Sep 21 (UNI) Gondwana Gantantra Party Vice President Gulzar Singh Markam has been expelled and MLA Darbu Singh Uike suspended from the party for six years for anti-party activities, the party announced today.

''Disciplinary action against both leaders was taken at a meeting presided over by GGP chief Hira Singh Markam at Jabalpur on September 10'', party's national General Secretary S L Padmakar said in a statement here today.

Mr Uike, MLA from Paraswada in Chhindwara district, was charged with creating confusion among the rank and file by spreading rumours that he was floating a new party and this amounted to indiscipline, Mr Markam said.

Mr Gulzar Singh was removed from the primary membership of GGP for sullying party image and indulging in anti-party activities, Mr Markam added.
