Bengal Congress seeks CM's intervention

Kolkata, Sep 21 (UNI) The West Bengal Congress today sought Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee's intervention in identifying the culprits, involved in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination 2007 scam.

Talking to newspersons, CLP leader Manas Bhuniya said, " The CPI(M) leadership earlier proudly announced that the education system in the state is rapidly changing. But it has been proved wrong as the WBJEE scam bears an eloquent testimony to the fact. " The state Health department, the Council of Higher Secondary Education and the administration all were involved in the JEE scam, he alleged.

" We are appealing to the Chief Minister to initiate for modifying the system by ordering an investigation and identifying the culprits, involved in the scam, " he said.

" I have sent a letter mentioning some of my proposals to the Chief Minister in this regard, " he said.
