AP suspends cloud seeding in 7 districts

Hyderabad, Sep 21 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh government has temporarily suspended the cloud seeding programme 'Indira Meghamadhanamu 2007' in seven districts of the state due to heavy rains.

A release from the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), which monitors the programme, today said the cloud seeding programme was suspended in Anantapur, Kadapa, Kurnool, Guntur, Prakasam, Nalgonda and Karimnagar districts.

The results of the cloud seeding operations undertaken till date in the state would be analysed and publicised soon, the release added.
