Three killed in rain-related incidents in Anand Dist

Anand, Sep 20 (UNI) Three persons were reportedly killed in separate rain-related incidents in the district yesterday.

In an incident at Bandhani village, one woman, Pramilaben, was electrocuted after she tried to turn on a light switch at her home.

She was rushed to civil hospital at Nadiad where she died after admission.

In another incident at Sarol village in Borsad, 42-year-old man, Jaswantsinh D Jadhav, was killed in a house collapse.

In the third incident in the city, 52-year-old man, Pravinbhai Rathod, was crushed to death after the wall of a garage collapsed on him while he was attending an all-night cultural programme at the nearby Ganesh mahotsav.

The district recorded 140 mm rain yesterday.
