PSEB dismisses 7 technicians for beating seniors

Patiala, Sept 20 (UNI) Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB) today dismissed seven technical staff members from service for beating up two senior officials of the board last week.

The dismissal orders, issued to the staff members this afternoon, led to tension in the board and to avoid any untoward incident the PSEB management sought help from the local police.

Those dismissed include Junior Engineer Vijay Dev, Lineman Rameshwar, Banarasi Das, Tirath Bahadur and Rajinder Singh, ALM Amardev and workman Ram Singh.

Chief engineers south Amrik Singh issued the dismissal orders.

The dismissed staffers belonging to Technical Services Union (Bhangal group), had on September 13 , beat up Additional SE (east division) Gurpal Singh and manhandled Senior XEN (suburban division) Bhupinder Sharma.
