Linking machine operator course to be introduced in ITI

Chandigarh, Sep 20 (UNI) A short term job-oriented modular course of linking machine operator would be introduced in ITI (W), Mohali from next month, Punjab Technical Education Minister Swarna Ram said here today.

An MoU has been signed between insome knitwear and institute Management Committee, ITI (W), Mohali to start the course under which the private partner would install 24 linking machines in the institute, while the building and infrastructure would be provided by ITI (W), Mohali.

Mr Swarna Ram said that 576 trainees would be trained in next three years and 192 trainees would get training in one year. The admission to the 6 months course of linking machine operator was open for both boys and girls with minimum qualification of Matric, he added.
