Puducherry: Houses destroyed in fire

Puducherry, Sep 20: Four thatched houses were gutted at Velrampet near here today.

According to Fire Service sources, fire was noticed at a house this morning which soon spread to adjoining dwellings.Fire tenders from Puducherry put out the flames.

Electrical short-circuit was said to have caused the fire. The total loss was estimated at around Rs one lakh, they said.
