Bangalore, Sep 19: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) today clarified that it was not involved in the attack on the House of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi's daughter or the torching of a bus belonging to that State, in which two passengers were killed late last night.

VHP Bangalore City President T Vijayakumar Reddy, in a statement here said none of the office bearers or activists were involved in the two incidents and the VHP would never encourage such violent incidents.

Condemning the incident, he said it would be an unpardonable crime to commit such violence acts in the name of Lord Ram.

Two passengers of a Tamil Nadu bus were charred to death after it was torched by some miscreants near Bommanahalli on Hosur road late last night. This was preceded by an attack on the house of Ms Selvi, daughter of Mr Karunanidhi. These attacks came in the wake of controversial statements made by the Chief Minister with regard to Lord Ram.
